Welcome
Feeling heavy, stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself? Perhaps you’re not sure what’s wrong, only that something doesn’t feel quite right? You might be unsure whether therapy is for you, or whether what you’re struggling with is “enough” to bring.
Therapy doesn’t require you to have clear answers or the right words. It offers a calm, confidential space where your experience can unfold gently, at your own pace, and where you don’t have to manage things on your own.
I offer therapy in West London (W9) and online. I work in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Getting started
If you’re curious but uncertain, an initial consultation can be a gentle first step. I offer a reduced-fee initial consultation (50 minutes, £35) where we can talk about what brings you to therapy and whether working together feels right for you.
You’re welcome to contact me by email at (contact@jenniferweidu.co.uk) or by text on +44 (0) 7840 232 467.
About Me
I am a UKCP and BACP registered psychotherapist grounded in Person-Centred psychotherapy. This approach trusts that a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in healing. It provides a supportive space to explore deep-seated patterns that may contribute to feelings of anxiety or depression, helping you reconnect with your own capacity for growth and change.
I offer both short-term counselling (6–12 sessions) and long-term, open-ended psychotherapy (24 sessions or more). Short-term work is often helpful for focusing on specific issues or navigating a current life transition. Long-term work provides the time and space to unravel deep-seated patterns and enduring emotional difficulties, facilitating lasting personal transformation through a deeper exploration of your underlying experiences and sense of self.
Who I Work With
I work with people, not just diagnoses. Whether you are feeling stuck in daily life or managing a complex mental health condition, I offer a space where you can be heard and understood as a whole person.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating:
- Complex emotional needs, including experiences of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) and intense emotional distress.
- Dissociation and Psychosis, including experiences of disconnection, hearing voices, or altered reality.
- Neurodivergence, including ADHD, Autism, and exploring your unique way of experiencing the world.
- Relationship with food and body, including eating disorders and distress regarding appearance.
- Life stages, including the unique challenges of older age.
- Enduring patterns of anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties.
Professional Background
My training at the Metanoia Institute is one of the most rigorous in the UK. Prior to retraining as a psychotherapist, I worked in the corporate sector (BBA, BEng). This background helps me understand the unique pressures of high-performance environments and the challenges of balancing professional success with personal wellbeing.

A Note on Testimonials
As a UKCP-registered psychotherapist, I am committed to practising ethically and professionally. According to the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Code of Ethics and Professional Practice (2019), members must not “include testimonials from clients in any advertising”, even with consent or freely offered. This is to protect the safety frame of the therapy space.
While I cannot publish client quotes or testimonials on my website, you are warmly invited to share with me any feedback or comment using the form below. This feedback will be kept strictly confidential. It helps me reflect on my practice and improve the support I offer.
FAQ
Our first session is a gentle introduction to our work together. Rather than a formal interview, it is a collaborative space where you can share what is on your mind at your own pace. My focus is on creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood as we begin to explore your journey.
In person-centered therapy, you are the expert on your own experience. The duration of our work is guided by your unique needs and feelings of growth. Some find the clarity they need in a few months, while others value a longer-term space for ongoing self-discovery. We will decide together what feels right for you.
Most clients attend one 50‑minute session per week, which gives continuity for therapeutic work. Frequency can be adapted (fortnightly or short-term options) and we review the rhythm together to suit your needs, goals, and practical circumstances.
Most people come weekly. We can adjust frequency based on your needs.
This approach honors your capacity for self-healing. By providing empathy and a space free of judgment, I support you in reconnecting with your own inner resources. As you feel more accepted in the therapeutic relationship, you may find it easier to trust your own instincts and live more authentically.
Instead of giving advice, I work alongside you to help you uncover your own answers. I believe that you have the inherent ability to navigate your life's challenges. My role is to provide the supportive conditions that allow your own insights and solutions to surface naturally.
Sessions are 50 minutes in a confidential space. You bring what matters—thoughts, feelings, memories or relationships—and I listen and reflect to help you notice patterns and options. Therapy unfolds at a pace that feels right for you and we work together to prioritise what matters most.
Sessions are 50 minutes in a confidential space. You bring whatever feels important — concerns, relationships, memories, or difficult feelings. There's no pressure to talk in a particular way.
